Improve your software with the SeaTable Bugtracker

Bug trackers are used to record and document program errors. Precise bug tracking improves the communication between your users and developers and continuously corrects errors in your product. Our collaborative bug tracking template helps your developers to stay focused and always keep track of the reported bugs.

Structure of the bug tracking template

In the first column you can enter the reported error and additionally describe it as detailed as possible in the column "Description". The column "Pain Factor" evaluates the urgency of the error correction and can be evaluated by a single selection on a scale from "Low" to "Urgent". The status column is to be updated by the responsible developers according to the status of the error correction. The "created on" column shows when the corresponding error was reported. In the column "Associated Features" you can assign the respective bug to a feature category of your product. This can help you later, for example, to see in which feature a particularly large number of bugs occur and where you may need particularly good customer support.

Linked tables

In addition to the "Bug" table there is also a "Features" and a "Team member" table. In the features table, the individual reported bugs are assigned to the feature they belong to. In addition, there is a link to the Team Members table, where each of your developers is assigned to the corresponding feature area for which they are responsible.

Different views of the bug tracking template

SeaTable allows you to create a view tailored to your needs by using different views, which immediately provides you with the desired information in focus. You can easily change the view in the top left-hand corner of the drop-down menu. Here you can also create new views yourself.

The "Bug by priority" view clearly shows your development team which bugs need to be fixed urgently and helps your team to prioritize your work. For this purpose, the table was simply grouped by the "Pain factor" column.

The "Open bugs" view shows at a glance which bugs have not yet been processed. This view was created using the filter function and filters the "Status" column for "open".
