Key combinations

Recurring actions and handles can be SeaTable easily performed via key combinations. Insert a new line, display the line details or undo an action - with the right key combination you SeaTable can do this in a fraction of a second.

Learn more about SeaTable's shortcuts and use them to work SeaTable faster. The following instruction shows keys on an English keyboard. At the bottom of this page there is a table comparing keys on English and German keyboards.

Actions, keyboard shortcuts and their mouse alternatives

For most actions, such as scrolling pages, you can use the mouse or a keyboard shortcut. But for some actions, such as undo, you can only do them with a key combination. Below is a table that shows you which actions you can do with a key combination or with the mouse.

To get a quick overview of all shortcuts, you don't have to go back to this website again and again. In SeaTable you can open an overview window for all key combinations by clicking on the "..." button in the top right corner of the editor. icon, and then click "Key combination" on the open menu.

In the key combination it does not matter whether a letter like F is capital or small letters. You do not need to switch to upper case to press this key combination.

If you want to use a key combination, always press and hold the function key first, then the letter key. For example: for Ctrl + F Press and hold first Ctrland then F once, and then press the still pressed Ctrl Release the key.

* - If you are using Google Chrome as your browser, this key combination may cause the browser's search function to work. In this case, first click on any cell and then you can activate SeaTable's search function with a key combination.

Comparison table of German and English keyboards

The labeling of the function keys and the arrangement of some keys affected in this article are different on a German and an English keyboard. Since the upper table is suitable for an English keyboard, you will find a table below to compare the affected keys.

Note that this table is only useful for key SeaTable combinations.

For example: if on an English keyboard the key combination Ctrl + ; is to be pressed, you can use a German keyboard to enter the Strg + Ö press.
